Positions were collected in WGS84 with real-time transformation to NAD83. For features within the roadway, the satellite receiver remained in or on the vehicle to collect the point position. For features outside the roadway, the receiver was placed as close as possible to (preferably on top of) the feature being collected. The receiver was kept still during the automatic 5-second averaging period. Features less than 2 meters along the road centerline were collected as points in this dataset. Features 2 meters or longer were collected as lines in the companion dataset (DEVA_GIS_SCA_Road_Damage_Lines). The original data was collected in Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere (EPSG: 3857).
